Kindergarten Teacher wanted - Munich

The International Montessori English-Speaking Preschool e.V. is a bilingual preschool located in the center of Munich, Germany for children between 3 and 6 years old. The school currently has 18 children who come from around the globe with English or English/German speaking families. The preschool, founded 20 years ago, is organised by a parent's initiative and is funded by the city of Munich and the state of Bavaria.

Currently the school is looking for a:

Kindergarten Teacher (m/w/d), part time (20 hours/week) or full time starting as soon as possible (permanent position) with a warm heart and a loving personality, as well as strong senses of personal responsibility and professionalism.

Qualifications (strictly necessary):

• 2 years working experience as qualified „Erzieher/-in“ or „Sozialpädagoge /-in“ or recognised international equivalent (such as a university degree in Early Childhood Education or other relevant degree for the age group 3 to 6 years old)
• Fluent in English or a native speaker for communication with parents and teachers
• Good German language skills (level B2 or higher of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)

Qualifications (beneficial):

• Strong communication and organisational skills, experience working in a team, self-responsibility, and motivation
• Experience in Montessori pedagogy

Tasks:

• Observing, supporting and discussing the children’s individual development
• Pedagogic concept planning for yearly cycles, planning and implementation of projects and preschool themes, like international holidays and customs
• developing daily activities for the children (i.e. morning circle, learning activities, accompaniment of free play and projects based on the group theme)
• Responsibility for fostering the intellectual, physical, and social development of the children
• Planning weekly outings to museums, activity centers, parks, and other external activities
• Communicating with parents
