AAS Berlin GmbH is looking for a Baggage handler (m/f/d) at BER Airport.

Your Responsibilities

  • Within the loading team, securing of the aircraft and its supply of ground power as well as loading and unloading of the aircraft under the leadership of the assigned responsible employee (loadmaster) according to the order
  • Compliance with the work instructions applicable to him, paying particular attention to the specifications for ramp safety; Reading files and information as well as documentation of acknowledgment (Read & Sign)
  • Sorting and preparation of baggage in the baggage sorting areas according to destination and flight number
  • Handling of bulky baggage and baggage that has to be treated for safety reasons
    punctual and safe transport of baggage to and from the aircraft for delivery to the passenger or for further handling in the case of transfer passengers timely and safe transportation of cargo and mail to the plane and from the plane to the cargo agent
  • Ensuring the timely provision, if necessary pre-positioning, of operational vehicles and equipment for aircraft handling, in accordance with the licenses and driving authorizations he has obtained
  • Cleaning, maintenance and refueling of vehicles and equipment
  • Report accidents and damage to the Ramp Coordination or Supervisor
  • Ensuring permanent accessibility to superiors during working hours
  • Forwarding of all important information (e.g. customer requests, damage/defects, irregularities and recognized material requirements) to the ramp coordination, ramp supervisors and, if necessary, to the (operative) manager
  • Registration of baggage in the Baggage Reconciliation System (BRS)
  • Assumption of special tasks within the scope of his work in accordance with the agreement or specification of the technical and disciplinary superiors
  • Possible additional tasks:
    • If suitable/ready, carry out ground-cockpit communication
      (Headset in English)
    • Shuttle rides for employee
