Quantitative Analyst – Algorithmic Trading

What the role entails:

• Develop robust optimisation algorithms for a wide class of flexible assets such as electric vehicles, home batteries and thermostatically controlled loads (TCLs).
• Develop decision and execution algorithms for flexible assets in relevant power and flexibility markets.
• Contribute to building trading strategies that maximise the value of Tibber’s unique attributes and assets.
• Continually contribute to the development and engineering of data pipelines necessary for algorithmic trading.

This is you!

• Experience with the European short term power markets is a must.
• Deep experience in developing trading optimisation models.
• Experience at an intraday power trader is a big plus.
• Weather forecasting domain experience is an asset.
• Excellent university record, e.g. in mathematics, physics, computer science or business with strong quantitative focus.
• An analytical, curious, and commercial mindset with meticulous attention to detail.
• High diligence and quality in coding and model development, preferably experience in Python.
• Ability to solve analytical problems in limited time when necessary.
• A strong ability to turn analysis into actionable trading strategies.
• Proactive and independent way of working, high reliability, strong communication skills.
• The desire to work in a dynamic and high paced start-up environment.
• A drive to be a complete team player who enjoys leveraging the team’s skills in order to strive towards shared goals.
