Our day care helps improve the quality of life of older people and supports their ability to remain in their own homes. This relieves the burden on family members at home and reduces the loneliness and isolation of those in need of care.
The day care center is located on the ground floor of the "Prof. Dr. K. Winter" senior citizens' center in Berlin Lichtenberg. We care for 22 senior citizens every day of the week. We support them with all activities of daily living, particularly in participating in activities and providing support in everyday situations. The Federal Volunteer Service (Bundesfreiwilligendienst) supports the team with these activities (e.g., housekeeping, games, walks).
You'll spend the day with us (Monday to Friday) and experience the sense of community within a social group. Our facility is bright and welcoming, inviting you to feel at home. Upon request, seniors can be picked up from their homes in an accessible vehicle and returned home in the afternoon (wheelchair users are also welcome).
Taking into account an individual and self-determined lifestyle, we offer care and support services in all our facilities where these are necessary and desired.
The assignment can serve as career preparation, but can also be used as a one-year social service for the recognition and/or supplementation of school or vocational qualifications.
At the end you will receive a certificate of service and a qualified employment reference.
The pocket money is 438,- โฌ (month)
